I have a recording of you playing with what appears to be the Dave Brubeck rhythm section minus Dave. The song is "Just in Time" and I think it was in 1968. I can't imagine how this could have happened.
If you can remember the circumstances, I am interested to know how that happened. Also, whether you enjoyed it. I remember there are sections of the arrangement that are worked out between you and the vibraphonist. I think it might be Gary Burton. The bass sounds like Gene Chirico and Joe Morello on drums. Both Gene and Joe have solos. Any info is appreciated. Thanks, again Alan 8) |

Thanks to Jazzman and Phil for setting me straight on this one. I knew the year was unknown and I just ventured a guess. It is a very unusual group having Morello, Cherico and Burton, who as far as I knew, never played together before or since.
I also didn't know that Morello and Phil new each other prior to the record date. Again, thanks for the assistance. I have found the album on e-bay as it doesn't appear to be otherwise available. I placed a bid and hopefully, I will be the lucky winner. Drummer22 8) |
