The Chromatic Banana
"This tune was composed for the European Rhythm Machine (sometimes referred to as The European Washing Machine, The Cleanest Band In the Free West) in the late 60's. The Figatron was one of my early inventions. It would sound an alarm as soon as a soloist played a lick invented before the 20th Century. It fell out of favor in 1900 and was soon replaced by the Banana. The only problem with the Banana? It only worked on 220 current requiring the players to transpose. It fell out of favor in 1901. I include it in this collection for purely sentimental reasons. And at my age I never buy green ones!"
