"Back in the 70 and 80's whenever I worked anywhere in Switzerland a Baroness who loved jazz always brought me the Swiss version of prosciutto, a mountain air-dried beef. Once I left a huge chunk hanging out of my hotel window and one time the U.S. customs guys took it away from me! Imagine - messing with one's prosciutto. Uncivilized I call it! This tune is for the Baroness. Alas she now lives in South Africa. Jill and I saw her at the first Capetown Jazz Festival a few years back and she apologized for not having any dried beef for me. Nice lady! Hard tune!"
